The MyChildSafetyID™ is a new child ID software and hardware combination concept, and an expansion of our industry leading digital child fingerprinting product SentryKIDS^®, in the fight against missing children. The software was developed to purposefully make it very easy for parents/guardians to use and with the MyChildSafetyID™ child id device in your possession, you can feel confident knowing that if in the event of an emergency, you have vital information you will need to provide law enforcement officers so they can quickly start the processes for issuing an Amber Alert if necessary.

How does the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device work?
The MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device is very simple to use: The MyChildSafetyID™ is a self-contained device that works independently without the need to install any software onto yours or any computer. The innovative child ID software design allows the MyChildSafetyID™ to be the ONLY child ID product 100% portable.

Will the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device work on my computer?
The MyChildSafetyID™ is the ONLY fully portable child identification product that allows parents to store text, photos, and fingerprints. The MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device is compatible with Windows 98se and up.

MyChildSafetyID™ System Requirements:
A computer with Windows 98se or higher (Windows 2000/XP recommended) 64MB of ram (128MB recommended) An available USB port (USB 1.1 is ok, USB 2.0 recommended for speed) A printer (needed to print the Bio-Doc™ & "MISSING" flyer) Photos of your loved ones in a digital form (.jpg image format) We have seen some issues where Windows 98 can not recognize the MyChildSafetyID™ hardware. This is due to certain problems with the early versions of USB and Windows 98. If you are running Windows 98, we recommend upgrading your operating system to Windows XP.

Does the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID software require installation onto my computer?
MyChildSafetyID™ proprietary child ID software is completely different. While virtually all software must be installed on a host computer in order to work properly, the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID software works differently. All files related to the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID software are located on the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device itself and the images/photos you select for each one of your loved ones are copied onto the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device when you are adding the information to the software.

How do I operate the MyChildSafetyID™?
The MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device and software is very simple to use: Plug into any available USB port on your computer. Start the child ID software and enter your username and password. Add your loved one's information and photos and you are done. Now you can close the program and un-plug from the computer. Attach to your key chain or place in your wallet. In case of emergency, plug the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device into the police cruiser's computer USB port and give the Officer the password to unlock the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID software. The law enforcement officer gets all the information they require

What information does the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device keep?
THE MyChildSafetyID™ HOLDS ALL VITAL INFORMATION FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ON ITSELF. PICTURES / MEDICAL INFORMATION / EMERGENCY CONTACTS / DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION... all necessary and vital information required by law enforcement agencies to act immediately. The MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device is the ONLY fully portable Child Identification product.

How often do I update my child's information?
We recommend that you update your child's information and photo's every six months, but the MyChildSafetyID™ was designed with a full-screen mode so you can also use it to easily show your children's photos to friends and family.

How much data can the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device hold?
The MyChildSafetyID™ holds personal information about your entire family. Let's say you have 15 members of your family that you want to have on the MyChildSafetyID™... NO PROBLEM!!! Each family member's file can hold a virtually unlimited number of pictures plus all of their vital information.

Is my information safe on the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device?
Yes. The MyChildSafetyID™ child ID software is password protected. In the unlikely event that you lose your MyChildSafetyID™ and someone else tries to read the information, without your password, the data is viewed as un-readable.

What happens if I loose it or if I forget my password?
The device is password protected. If you loose it there is no way anyone can access the information without a password. If you forget your password the key will have to be reset and you will loose all the information previously stored on it.

Why do I need the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device?
There are over 780,000 children reported abducted in the United States every year, and the U.S. Department of Justice places a child's chances of being abducted at 1 out of every 42. Parents and guardians must stay on the cutting edge of technology in case the unthinkable happens. How is the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID device different from other child ID kits on the market?
Other child ID kits are not as comprehensive nor are they as easy to update the information and pictures. With the MyChildSafetyID™ child ID software you simply click to upload a new picture, or capture one directly from any TWAIN compliant webcam connected to your computer. The MyChildSafetyID™ is also the ONLY digital child identification storage device to allow you to have your child's digital fingerprints uploaded and stored directly on the device.

I have a USB device that I want to use; can I get a copy of the MyChildSafetyID™ software to put on it?
Unfortunately, no. Not at this time. In the future we will make it possible to download the software directly from our website.

Where do I update the software when updates are available? How will I know when updates are available?
By clicking on the "Support" link on the bottom of our website, you will find the update section. Currently we are working on reminder email that will be sent every 3 months to all those who purchase the MyChildSafetyID™. Otherwise we will constantly have a reminder on our site.
